Pranab Mukherjee : The Pride of India

 


Pranab Mukherjee (born on 11 December 1935) was a great politician and president of India. He was the 13th president of India. He was one of the greatest politicians of our country. He served the country as president from 2012 to 2017.  He had a unique personality which make him a great politician. In his life he earned the respect from not only his own political party but also from his against party too. He also awarded by highest civilian award of India Bharat Ratna in 2018 and  second highest civilian award Padma Vibhushan in 2008.

On 31st august 2020,  He left this world at the age of 84. On 10 august 2020, In this pandemic situation of corona virus, he tweeted and confirmed the nation that he was tested corona positive and the treatment started in Army's Research and Referral hospital in Delhi. He was on ventilator from some days and on the 31st august he left us.



Early Life and Education :- 

Pranab Mukherjee was born in a bengali brahmin family on 11 december 1935 at Mirati(a village in the Bengal presidency of British India) now in the Birbhum district of West Bengal. His father's name was Kamada Kumar Mukherjee and his mother's name was Rajalakshmi Mukherjee. His father was in freedom movement of India and his mother was a housewife. He had a elder sister and a younger brother. His sister's name was Annapurna and his brother's name was Piyush Mukherjee.
Pranab Mukherjee was a intelligent student. He completed his early education in his own district. He had BA, MA and LLB degrees from the University of Calcutta. He was MA in Political science and History.

Political career :- 

Pranab Mukherjee started his political career from the Indian National Congress party. He had done very much for this party in his career. He joined the Bangla Congress in 1969. He managed to become Member of Rajyasabha in july 1969. Indira Gandhi appointed him into Indian National Congress(INC). 
In 1982 he became the Minister of Finance. He served the country as Commerce Minister three times in 1980-1982,1984 and 1990s. In 1995 he was appointed as Minister of External Affairs.In 2004 Dr. Manmohan Singh appointed him as the Defence Minister of India.
In 2012 he served the country as President of India  . As a president he served the country from 2012 to 2017.

Madhubani  (or Mithila paintings), is a style of Indian paintings ,which is drill and skilled in mithila region of Indian subcontinent and Nepal.
