Prem Mandir : Pride of India



 Prem Mandir is a very beautiful hindu temple in Vrindavan,Mathura district in Uttar Pradesh state in India. Prem Mandir is dedicated to God Radha-Krishna and God Sita-Ram. This temple is famous for it's beauty. This temple is the pride of Vrindavan. Prem Mandir is a great tourist place. Every year billions of tourist and devotees comes here to feel it's glory and a great experience.This temple is a sign of peace and beauty. The peoples who visited there always praises of  the feeling of peace in this temple. This complex is situated in around 55 acres of land. This temple is established and maintained by the Jagadguru Kripalu Parishad. On 14th February 2001 the foundation stone was established by the Jagadguru Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj. It took around 12 years to complete the construction of this temple with 1000 workers. 


This temple is dedicated to the God Radha-Krishna and Goddess Sita and God Ram.  God Ram and Krishna both was the incarnation of God Vishnu. Radha-Krishna  is worshiped in all over the Vrindavan. Peoples who visits this temple, they experiences a unique energy in this temple. This temple has a huge fan-base among all over the globe. Every year many tourists visits here from Russia,USA, Canada, Malaysia and many other countries. In Vrindavan this is the center of attraction among the tourist and devotees. 


This temple opens in the morning at 5.30 am and the aarti and parikrama is held between 5.30 am to 6.30 am. Every day at 6.30 am is the Bhog-time(when the priest serves the foods to the God). At 8.30 am the gate opens for the devotees for darshan(to watch the God of the Temple) and the gate closes for the darshan at 11.30 am. The mandir closes from 12 pm to 4.30 pm. In evening the mandir opens at 4.30 am, aarti and parikrama held between 4.30 pm and 5.30 pm. 5.30 pm is evening bhog-time. Mandir opens for 6 pm to 8 pm for darshan. Mandir closes for the day at 8.30 pm after the final aarti.


Special Days :-     

Janmashtami, Radhashtmi is celebrated as very special day in this temple. Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of the God Shri Krishna and Radhashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Goddess Radha rani. On these festival the decoration of Prem Mandir is world  famous. On these day this temple is decorated like a bride. Entire Temple and complex is decorated with flowers. In  the night the lighting of this temple is very unique and attractive. On these special days billions of devotees visits to the Vrindavan. The glory of this temple is very difficult to express in words.




Construction :- 

The foundation of this temple was started in 14 February in 2001 and completed in 2012.The Inauguration ceremony held on 15th February to 17th February. The temple was opened from 17th February for public.
The whole temple was constructed by Italian marbles. The architecture type of this temple is Rajasthani, Somnath and Gujrati architecture. The height of this temple including its flag is 125 ft., and the temple is 190 ft. long and 125 ft. wide. Temple has two floors, on the ground floor God Radha-Krishna's statue is established and worshiped and on the first floor Goddess Sita and God Ram's statue is established and worshiped. 



Founder and Maintainer:-

This temple is founded and maintained by the Jagadguru Kripalu Parishad. It is an International non-profit, educational,spiritual, charitable trust. Previously this trust was known as the Sadhna-Bhawan Trust. This trust was founded in 1970 by the Jagadguru Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj. He was the great Hindu spiritual leader. This organisation made spiritual awareness in all over the globe. This organisation is also works as a social server. They supported the society such like providing education, medicines to those people who have some disadvantages then normal society.  
Jagadguru Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj  was born on  5th October in 1922. He was from Prayag in Uttar Pradesh in India. In his whole life he spread spiritual awareness. At the age of 34 years he was awarded the title of Jagadguru by Kashi Vidvat Parishad on 14th January 1957. He founded four ashrams in India and one in U.S.A.
